Deakin University's new Centre for Advanced Design in Engineering Training (CADET) facility presented to US Student-Centred Engineering Educators Monday, 07 July 2014

The Centre for Advanced Design in Engineering Training (CADET) student centred education and Deakin University are becoming known throughout U.S. engineering education stakeholders.

The following film clip was continuously displayed on large screens at the American Society of American Engineering Education (ASEE) annual conference recently and received plenty of attention. CADET will focus on student centred Project Orientated Design Based Learning (PODBL) resulting in entrepreneurial creative industry ready engineering graduates.

Engineering graduates will be prepared for and able to manage the many challenges facing our society now and in the future. Undergraduate students can choose to study Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) specialising in Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics, or the three year Bachelor of Design Technology specialising in Industrial Design, Sports Technology or Medical Technology.
