Following the announcement of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment exemption for examination in Qatar, the first workshop held on the 18th of October on How to become an EA member and getting Chartered in Doha, Qatar was a success.
Over 30 members attended from all engineering backgrounds and there was a lot of engagement from the attendees as the Question & Answer session went longer than the actual presentation itself!
The workshop covered information around the process of getting Chartered, and also answered questions on Stage 1 assessments. A Stage 1 assessment is required if the candidate’s undergraduate qualification is not recognised by Engineers Australia.
Due to the workshop’s success, it will now run more frequently, instead of bi-monthly. Requests for mentors are also being received. If you wish to become a mentor yourself, please contact Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter on [email protected].
