EngFlick 2015 Winners Announced Thursday, 17 December 2015

Engineers Australia’s EngFlick Competition has again showcased the influence of engineering on the global community. The EngFlick winners were announced last night at the Young Professionals Christmas event at Pier One, Sydney. The competition highlights the importance of engineering in our everyday lives.

Film-makers are given the creative freedom to tell the story of the engineering profession and an engineered world with the theme this year: “Engineering: No Problem Too Big or Too Small”.

The Young Engineers Australia National Committee assessed entries on creativity, delivery of an engineering message and interest to the audience. The winners for 2015 are:

Engineering – Everything, Everywhere by Edward Rose and Matthew Rowe won EngFlick 2015. Both Edward and Matthew are from UNSW, who studied Medicine and Electrical Engineering respectively.

Second place went to Courtney Lum’s film Engineering: No Problem Too Big or Too Small. Courtney is a chemical engineering undergraduate from Sydney with a passion for technology and science.

Third place went to Stephanie Robson’s film I Know I Can. Stephanie is a Graduate Civil Engineer at Woodside Energy located in Perth.
