Two positions for Engineers Australia Skills Assessors
 
Two full time, 6 month, fixed term vacancies have arisen within the Skills Assessment team for Skills Assessors to commence as soon as possible.
 
Working within Engineers Australia's National Office in Canberra, the successful applicants will be responsible for assessing the qualifications of persons intending to apply for Stage 1, National Engineering Register (NER) or CDR Assessment.
 
The duties of these positions include:
  • Assess the skills and qualifications of persons intending to apply for assessment in accordance with EA standards;
  • Liaise with individual applicants, referees, migration agents and immigration case officers regarding assessment procedures and the progress of individual applications; 
  • Maintain detailed awareness of qualifications accredited under the Washington and Sydney Accords and general awareness of qualifications and trends in non-Accord countries;
  • Maintain awareness of the National Engineering Register (NER) and National Standards;
  • Assess sdfsdfsdfsdfof applicants for eligibility to apply for Engineers Australia membership at a Graduate level as required;
  • Liaise with the Engineers Australia Membership Manager concerning requirements;
  • Assess eligibility to apply for membership of Engineers Australia by persons who do not hold a recognised qualification; and
  • Advise on difficult assessment issues.
