It is pleasing to see that the recent membership Ballot resulted in all four resolutions being passed. This will result in membership of the Board being open to a much wider range of members, Congress size being rationalised and CEO selection criteria improved. We look forward to these governance enhancements being implemented and I encourage members to consider how they may be involved and contribute given these new arrangements.
Anzac Day was commemorated recently and we use this time to reflect on those who fought for our country. We at Engineers Australia are specifically remembering Word War 1 this year, being the 100 year anniversary, and recognising the contribution engineers provided in that conflict. A number of activities are being held across the nation this year and I commend you to attend. Further information is available on our website.
It is also membership renewal time and we remind members that this year there are prizes for renewing on time.
