Using your personal brand to rebrand your organisation Thursday, 24 September 2015

Megan Motto, Chief Executive Officer of Consult Australia

Branding is important at a personal level - your social profile and the image you have and leave - what others would say about you, as well as for an organisation - we all know the tag lines for that famous cola drink!! Its what makes us think of that company first when we want to use their goods or services.

Personal Branding starts with identifying what is important to you and makes you unique. As an individual you should focus on your values, which will ultimately build your career and team values. It is important to think about how to market your self to your stakeholders including selling value for what you supply as part of a team or organisation.

Megan Motto, Chief Executive Officer of Consult Australia, is an exemplary example of how one’s ability to inspire others, communicate with a multitude of people and remain true to one’s core values can revolutionise an organisation.

Since being appointed as CEO of Consult Australia in 2005, the Association’s staff and turnover has almost quadrupled. Megan’s leadership has seen Consult Australia’s organisational culture become vibrant, strong and high –performing.

She is a strong advocate of a flexible workplace, placing an emphasis on not working harder and long, but rather working smarter. Her strong leadership has led to Consult Australia’s member firms being represented at all levels of government and having a strong voice on issues such as workplace diversity, sustainability and infrastructure financing.
