The Members and Staff of Engineers Australia wish to express our deepest sorrow at the passing of Dr John Connell, a beacon for the profession, worldwide.
Dr Connell's vision shaped much of our built environment, creating some of Australia's most iconic structures.
"At this time of sorrow, and of behalf of Engineers Australia, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Dr Connell.
As an engineer, Dr Connell's legacy will be that of a great humanitarian, whose vision and leadership helped shape the landscape of Australia," Mr Stephen Durkin, CEO, Engineers Australia.
