OCTOBER 2010 | ||
Chair Report - Kenn Beer
Well, I’ve had an overwhelming response to my cartoon from last month’s newsletter. If you remember, last month’s cartoon involved Ohm-Boy having a drink at the local bar. The most common response to my cartoon was: “Kenn, your cartoon was shocking.” Nice pun from the members there. So, in between the fantastic seminars, the riotous Generation
Exchange Dinner and committee meetings, I’ve been hard at work trying to
draw a cartoon to meet the high standards of the members. This
month’s cartoon is close to my own heart being focused on transport
engineering. I hope you enjoy it.
In other news, the committee has started to stretch their legs.
We’ve had the Generation Exchange Dinner which was absolutely fantastic;
thanks to Rory Paltridge and the rest of the crew who organised that great
night. We also saw another Chartered Status Ceremony honouring some of
those hard working young engineers taking the next step in their careers.
In the upcoming month I’m looking forward to a couple of
cracking events. We’ve got a site tour to Loy Yang Power Station and a
couple of joint technical seminars. Have a read through the upcoming
events section of the newsletter for more
details. Cheers, Kenn
