Chair Report - Kenn Beer
We’re approaching
the end of the financial year, which normally means a few things start to
happen. Firstly, all the accountants in my office start getting jittery.
Secondly, I realise I haven’t done a tax return for the past three
financial years. Thirdly, and most importantly, we start gearing up for
the YEA-V AGM. The AGM is the best
time to sign up for a role on the Committee, so if you’re interested in
getting more involved in the Victorian engineering community then I
suggest you click on the link just to the right of this report that says
‘AGM’. Being on the Committee is a great way to meet new and likeminded
people, get involved in shaping engineering in the future and give
something back to the community. You don’t need to know anyone or anything
about Engineers Australia, you just need to be enthusiastic and turn up.
I won’t write too
much here about the cracking events that have been going on in the YEA-V
sphere as I’ve put together a more detailed account in another link of
this newsletter. Instead I’ll just show you my latest cartoon. This one is
for all you Computer Systems Engineers, however I’m tipping everyone will
understand this one.
Dont forget to follow us on facebook to keep up to date with all the latest young engineering news.
See you at the AGM, Kenn Beer |
