About Us
The Society fosters excellence in fire safety in Australia. As a learned society, we want to provide leadership and a national focus for the development, understanding, practice and application of fire safety engineering. By bringing people together who are actively engaged in fire safety, we want to reduce the risk fire poses to property and the environment, and implement cost-effective fire safety codes and regulations.
Please explore our site to find out more about us. Some sections can only be accessed by members. To become a member please download the application form.

Chapters
ACT Chapter
The ACT Chapter of the Society of Fire Safety draws together all those professional people who are actively engaged in fire safety. It stimulates the development and use of fire safety engineering and science to: reduce the risk to life; ensure the safety of property (not only in the building field); limit consequential financial losses; and implement effective fire safety regulations.
The ACT chapter provides a focus for corporate activities in the field of fire safety engineering and technology and is a forum for the exchange of ideas.
