The third session CELM's Leadership Development Series (LDS), entitled ‘Innovation & Inspiration: The Important Role of Customers and Suppliers’, was held on Wednesday 2nd October 2013 at the Adelaide Pavilion Veale Gardens. The guest speaker was Dr Bronwyn Evans FIEAust EngExec, former Senior Vice President – Quality, Clinical and Regulation, with Cochlear Limited.

Innovation and Inspiration: The Important Role of Customers and Suppliers

A presentation by SafeWork SA on "Work Health & Safety - Safe Design and Duties of Designers" was held on Monday 27th May 2013. This session was presented by C S Wong, Chief Officer – Mining & Hazard Management and Chief Adviser - Electrical for SafeWork SA.  A copy of the presentation slides is below.

CELM SA hosted their first Leadership Development Series presentation, 'Leadership; Strategic Direction and Entrepreneurship', on Tuesday 21st May 2013. The guest speaker was Tim Dalmau of Dalmau Consulting, who discussed the 'seven questions of leadership'.

Powering South Australia was held in March 2013 and guests gained an insight of the issues being faced by the electricity industry and visions for the 2013 transmission industry. Guest speakers were Doug Schmidt (top image), General Manager Network Management at SA Power Networks and Hamish McCarter FIEAust CPEng (bottom image), Senior Manager Engineering Services at ElectraNet. As part of the Sir Eric Neal Address for 2012 Stewart Kreltszheim, Operations Manager of Country Fire Authority, spoke with attendees about his experiences with Black Saturday and his Kokoda trekking. A copy of his inpirational and encouraging presentation is available below.

Engineering A City

As part of the celebration of Engineers Australia's 90th anniversary a booklet was made promoting the heritage of South Australia via a walking trail among the historic engineering successes of the City of Churches.
