Activities of the Structural College include:
- Coordinating CPD functions between Engineers Australia Divisions
- Publishing the Australian Journal of Structural Engineering
- Admitting new members and auditing continuing members
- Coordinating the national conference for structural engineers (ASEC)

Conferring honours and awards to structural engineers including the:RW Chapman Medal – awarded by members of the board for the best paper published in conference proceedings or technical journals
John Connell Gold Medal – awarded to a leader in the field of structural engineering for their contribution to the science and/or practice of structural engineering - Arranging national speaking tours and short courses relevant to structural engineers; and
- Encouraging Young Engineers to become affiliated with the Structural College
- The key focus areas for the college in 2011include increased communication with our college members, increased CPD for regional membersa and learning frm structural failures in Australia
