"Tasmanian Engineering" 2012 Photo Competition
The "Tasmanian Engineering" 2012 Photo Competition has been established as part of the Tasmania Division's activities for the Year of the Regional Engineering Team (YoRET).
Photographers and those appreciative of engineering in its many forms are encouraged to celebrate, inspire and share photos that capture the theme of "Tasmanian Engineering".
Entry is open to everyone until 30 June 2012
including Members and current office bearers of Engineers Australia, friends, parents, children, colleagues ... everyone!

Why not get involved with YoRET, submit images of engineering-related people, projects and places (especially photos that that you are passionate about), and invite your friends and family to view and contribute too!
You can also view the images from other contributors and share your thoughts via comments, flagging favourites, posting to your Facebook account etc!
The competition will run until 30 June 2012, after which a panel of judges will select images from the group for highlighting to the public during Australian Engineering Week activities in Tasmania in August 2012 (and the rest of the YoRET).
The competition is being run through a public group on Flickr.com to enable easy and widespread submission and sharing of images and the associated stories about Tasmanian engineering, and will remain a resource to inform and inspire others into the future.
How to contribute to the competition
Summary:
1. Upload relevant photos to your account on Flickr.com and include the necessary caption and tags .
2. Join the "Tasmanian Engineering" group.
3. Post your photos to the group.
When submitting photos, contributors are asked to:
1. submit images that relate to the theme of "Tasmanian Engineering", from any period of time.
2. Include an explanatory caption of why or how the photo supports the theme.
3. Include a tag of "North", "North West", or "South" to enable searching and judging of images from each main Tasmanian region.
4. consider geo-tagging the image so that others can view images via map.
