Engineers Australia plays an important role in promoting engineering excellence and the contribution engineering makes to the community. Our award programs seek to identify, recognise and reward outstanding achievement, eminence in the practice of engineering, and conspicuous service to the profession.
The Victorian Engineering Excellence Awards (VEEA) program is an opportunity for businesses of all size, across a wide range of sectors to showcase their engineering achievements. The Awards recognise and showcase engineering excellence in Victoria, and receive wide recognition in industry, the engineering profession and the community.

The Engineering Excellence Awards acknowledges the professionalism and pursuit of excellence by engineers throughout the country. The program also identifies, recognises, rewards and promotes individuals in Australian engineering.
Personal Awards Program Winners for 2011:

Judging Criteria
Nominees/nominator's are asked to address the fields provided in approximately 500 words per section and demonstrate how they have the following attributes gained through engineering. Nominees/ nominator's are encouraged to address the following five fields where relevant.
- Engineering competence
- Demonstrated leadership skills including leadership of teams
- Positive/notable outcomes from their engineering work
- Creativity/innovation
- Community service to industry, the profession and/or society
