"Victorian Transport Plan"
Guest Speaker: Minister for Roads and Ports, Tim Pallas
The State Government will release the Victorian Transport Plan before the end of the year. This plan will take a state-wide view of the Victorian transport network and provide a framework for the delivery of transport projects.
As the keynote speaker for the final Fellows Luncheon for 2008, Minister Pallas will provide an overview of the Victorian Transport Plan highlighting the strengths, challenges and opportunities it provides the State and the engineering profession in particular.
Minister Pallas oversees Victoria's extensive roads network, road safety initiatives and Victoria's world-class ports. He also has responsibility for logistics and marine safety issues. Tim Pallas is the Victorian representative on the Australian Transport Council which coordinates and integrates transport and road policy issues.
