About Women in Engineering Queensland

Our vision is that engineering becomes an inclusive profession which values, supports and celebrates the contributions of women in the engineering team.

Our objectives

  • Attract women of all ages to engineering careers.
  • Retain women in engineering.
  • Support women throughout their engineering careers.
  • Celebrate the achievements of women in engineering

Committee Members

Our members are from a range of engineering disciplines and experience and include university students, graduates, young and established professionals. The committee is open to all engineers who want to develop solutions that make a difference.

Meetings

Committee meetings are held on a monthly basis and all engineers are welcome. They are held at Level 9, 340 Adelaide Street, Brisbane on the second Monday of the month at 6pm, however, this is moved if it coincides with a public holiday.

About Women in Engineering Victoria

The Women in Engineering (WiE) Victoria Committee was formed in October 2006. The committee is made up of a bunch of passionate and committed volunteers, who come from a variety of engineering disciplines.

The Committee provides a local focus for women in engineering by organising events for our members, as well as the wider community. These events are aimed at supporting, attracting, retaining and celebrating women in the industry.

About Women in Engineering Sydney

The Women in Engineering (WIE), Sydney Division aims to connect engineering women by promoting an inclusive culture through community involvement. Our members are from a range of engineering disciplines and experience and include university students, graduates, young and established professionals of Sydney, who want to develop solutions that make a difference.

WIE, Sydney Division establishes and maintains a comprehensive and enduring network providing members with access to careers advice, mentoring opportunities and continuing professional development. We cultivate these relationships through social events and community programs.

About Women in Engineering Newcastle

The Newcastle Division of Women in Engineering is your support and advocacy group in Engineers Australia and we work to make sure you get the most out of it. We have monthly informal networking sessions of WiE members, as well as formal workshops and guest speaking sessions. These sessions are run with the support of industry partners and Engineers Australia, with many EA and non-EA members in attendance.

About Women in Engineering Northern

Women in Engineering (WiE) is a group of female engineers within Engineers Australia.

The role of WiE is to represent the needs of female engineers and to promote, encourage and coordinate activities. The Committee provides a local focus for women in engineering by organising events for our members as well as the wider community. These events are aimed at supporting, attracting, retaining and celebrating women in the industry.

The Northern WiE group includes associates, technologists, graduates and professionals. The group organises activities such as social events, technical presentations and STEM events to promote the engineering profession to young students and foster females in engineering.

We welcome female engineers who are interested in advancing engineering and increasing the number of women in their fields. Being a part of Engineers Australia and WiE is a great way to shape your career and professional development.
