Mission
This society's mission is to enhance the discipline of bulk solids handling through research, education and sound engineering practice.
Strategies of the ASBSH
The ASBSH has the following objectives:
- To promote cooperation between universities, research establishments, consultants, equipment manufacturers & suppliers and industrial users.
- To encourage research and development, technology transfer and training.
- To promote education at the undergraduate level and continuing education at the postgraduate level.
- To hold national and international conferences at regular intervals.
The Constitution of the ASBSH
The formulators of the Society had only one primary objective in view when setting down the rules for its administration and that is to enhance the discipline of bulk solids handling through the various channels available to it.
Executive of the ASBSH
The administration of the Society is carried out by the Chairman, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer, known as the Executive.
For technical events, the Executive is assisted by Technical Convenors (nominally one for each State or Regional Centre) who will co-opt members, as required by the nature of the event, to form an Organising Committee.
Where specialist expertise is needed, the Technical Convenor may invite non-members to join the Organising Committee.
