Why become a member?
As a national organisation with state based committees TAs will seek to influence these key transport decisions at both a state and national level through bodies such as Infrastructure Australia and government Department's responsible for infrastructure and cities.
One of the first acts of the newly formed TAs was to make a submission to the Infrastructure Australia, Australian Infrastructure Audit and TAs has a commitment to continue to shape policy through industry submissions and our own policy releases.
Our state based committees will offer an ongoing program of seminars and networking opportunities focused on significant transport themes drawing on the TAs national policy focuses. These seminars will focus on strategic planning and policy and transport projects and planning of state or national significance.
Importantly TAs membership is open to all interested in transport, meaning that the diverse range of backgrounds represented in our industry can share their varied experience either by contributing to the society or simply by attending and networking at TAs seminars.
As a Technical Society of Engineers Australia, TAs will offer a focused community of practice for transport professionals but still have the resources and reach of an organisation with over 100,000 members nationally.
An example of this is the potential to tap into the Engineers Australia meets parliament program where EA discusses key policy issues directly with state and national politicians. TAs can also draw upon and collaborate with complimentary technical groups within EA who focus on specific technical issues.
Joining TAs is easy. By Joining you will receive our regular newsletter and gain access to our program of events and activities.
We look forward to welcoming you soon at a TAs event.
