About the Transport Australia society (TAs) Queensland

The TAs Queensland Branch is a voluntary committee of like-minded professionals seeking to assist and shape transport policy agenda and formulation through engagement with government, collaboration with universities and research organisations, and interaction with industry.

Our program of activities seeks to foster policy debate and expand member knowledge, while providing networking opportunities. We also arrange site visits to relevant transport facilities and major transport infrastructure projects.

Strategy and policy

During 2015 the QLD Branch participated and contributed to a range of discussions including:

  • TMR GARID document review

For 2016 the Queensland Branch transport policy priority areas include technology and the environment.

The committee is a mix of government and private sector professionals with varied experience and technical backgrounds.
