Christmas and New Year Shutdown and Service Delay:
Please note: Engineers Australia will shut down during Christmas and New Year between 24th December 2020 and 10th January 2021.
Applications lodged between 7th December 2020 and 31st January 2021 are expected to be affected by the shutdown period and may experience a service delay.

National Engineering Register eligibility
Registrants on the NER will need to confirm the following eligibility criteria:
- a recognised qualification
- relevant professional practice
- currency of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII)
- a commitment to ethical practice.

If you are an existing Engineers Australia member, please log in using your current EA ID to complete your online registration.
In order to join the National Engineering Register you will first need to create an EA ID, which can be done on MyPortal here. Once you have your EA ID you will then be able to access the “Engineering Registers Tile” and begin your NER application.

By being registered on the National Engineering Register, you consent to personal information being available to the general public.
In accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the personal information will include some or all of the following: your name, category, grade and title of membership, in addition to the relevant engineering college and Chartered status.
The register may also include your state/territory, suburb, postcode, professional address (including your phone number if applicable) and email address (if applicable).
Engineers Australia engages third parties to facilitate display of the NER as a ‘digital badge’ and your details may be stored by such third parties for this purpose.
If you do not consent to your personal details being used in this way, telephone Engineers Australia on 1300 653 113 or access myPortal to alter your preferences. You can also choose not to be registered on the NER.
