Data Centric Engineering and the Creation of Digital Assets - Computer Modelling of Industrial Projects

How WorleyParsons creates Digital Assets in advance of constructing the Physical Assets, to unlock wide ranging benefits over the asset lifecycle. Data-Centric Engineering and the creation of Digital Assets is the biggest evolutionary step in project delivery since drawing boards gave way to CAD in the 80s. WorleyParsons commenced the development of their data centric systems in the early 2000s and continue to develop them.

Data Centric Engineering and the Creation of Digital Assets - Computer Modelling of Industrial Projects - How WorleyParsons creates Digital Assets in advance of constructing the Physical Assets, to unlock wide ranging benefits over the asset lifecycle

Data-Centric Engineering and the creation of Digital Assets is the biggest evolutionary step in project delivery since drawing boards gave way to CAD in the 80s. WorleyParsons commenced the development of their data centric systems in the early 2000s and continue to develop them.
Stuart Payne will guide you through this evolution, explain what data centric engineering is and how the Digital Asset is created. He will explain the many benefits that are unlocked by using these techniques, as well as the challenges faced and some lessons learned.
While the use of BIM (Building Information Management) is prevalent in the commercial building & infrastructure markets, Data Centric Engineering is optimised for industry and although following the same philosophies as BIM, is significantly different.
