Slope Risk Assessment, an Australian context. A brief history, the current state of play and predictions for the future of slope risk assessment in Australia.

This event will provide a brief overview of the history of landslides in Australia, the RMS Slope Risk Assessment methodology V4.0 (at a high level), and also a discussion on where technology (drones particularly) can be used to improve the geotechnical slope risk process in the future.

Following the presentation, CGC will also be hosting a networking event where a drink and light refreshments will be offered.

Barry Land - Chartered Engineer, CGC

Barry has over twenty years in the consulting engineering industry, working on large infrastructure projects within QLD and NSW. Barry is a Chartered Engineer, with RPEQ status and is also an accredited RMS NSW slope stability assessor. Barry has experience in Geotechnical risk assessment and implementation of short and long-term risk management procedures for infrastructure assets in challenging ground conditions.
