Join us on Thursday January 24, 2019 for an overview of the sustainability efforts underway for the rehabilitation of river water in Malaysia.

Overview

Water is a basic human need. Due to rapid development in cities, rivers are becoming increasingly polluted and the world today is facing the problem of an insufficient clean water supply. Water disruption issues are also a challenge city dwellers face. This Thought Leadership Forum on Water will discuss current sustainability efforts underway, including the River of Life project. Hear and learn from experts about their experiences, successes and challenges.

The evening will include three keynote speaker presentations, a Q&A panel discussion and a networking opportunity.

About the Speakers

Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID)
Hear from the authority on the River Rehabilitation Projects and the current outlook of the water industry in Malaysia.

MACH3 Engineering
Hear about ‘The Impact of Corrosion to the Water Industry’ from Michelle Lau. She will focus on the importance of corrosion protection, economic and environmental effects and touch on asset integrity issues.

Monash University
Prof. Khu will share his experience on the ‘Sunway City River of Sustainability’ Project. This is a 48-month long project on improving a canal that runs through the township.
