Western Australia was well represented at the 2017 Australasian Coasts and Ports Conference in Cairns. In this quarterly seminar, Coastal, Ocean & Port Engineering (COPEP) and PIANC - The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure will host three speakers who will present on three very different issues that are of particular relevance to Western Australia: riverbank stabilisation solutions, advancements in dredge material placement and adaption strategies for coastal inundation.

About the Speakers
Tom Harding graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons), Majoring in Offshore Engineering. Tom has worked at M P Rogers & Associates as a Coastal Engineer since 2013. Tom has worked on numerous coastal and maritime projects in Western Australia for local governments, state governments and private companies. Tom has particular experience in the design, construction and maintenance of riverbank infrastructure.
Tim Green is the managing director of BMT JFA, having worked with the company since its inception 18 years ago. He has spent most of his career involved in providing consulting and project management services in relation to both capital and maintenance dredging works for projects across Australia.
Stuart Barr is a Director and Senior Coastal Engineer at Seashore Engineering and Shore Coastal. He has over 20 years’ experience working on a wide range of coastal and environmental projects throughout Australia. He also has a unique understanding of coastal engineering and coastal processes in the southwest region of Western Australia, having been based in the region for the past 10 years.
