With the fall in the oil price in early 2016, Woodside were faced with trying to understand their true cost base. The Engineering and Turn Around teams were challenged to develop a new way to provide consistency across their cost estimates.
Graham Coy will guide you through the challenges faced by Woodside which led to the engagement of Monitor to develop extensions to their existing project cost management solution - mpower.
Using standardised work order estimation with a definable task list generator and NORMS based estimates, now gives Woodside a platform to understand where cost improvements can be made.
About the Speaker
Graham Coy joined Monitor in 2002 as a software developer. He moved into consultancy and implementation of the mpower cost management solution, with a more client facing role. In 2007 Graham was appointed as Operations Director and opened the Australian office in Perth, Western Australia in 2011. He has maintained his technical expertise and now compliments this with real life project process knowledge to assist in delivering scalable and cost-effective solutions to the Asia Pacific market.
