This presentation aims to explore and provide information on the:
- Global influences, including technology disruption such as robotics.
- The changing work environment – new ways in which organisations work.
- What skills and toolsets are needed - cultural and management skills.
- How our universities are preparing graduates to enter into the workforce.
Led by Stephen Ludlam, the ex CEO of ASC Pty Ltd will give a perspective of experienced networking and the importance of linkages throughout a career.
Milly Vorrasi from Hays, will address global influences, latest trends and the engineering employment environment in Australia, fresh from the “2017 Hays Salary Guide”.
Tanja Stefanovic from management consultancy Beyond Paradigms, will present insights into a diverse engineering career and her transition into other ways of delivering value in consulting and applying engineering thinking to other industry sectors.
Stephen Ludlam is a global submarine expert who was president of Submarines at Rolls-Royce plc in the United Kingdom and is also ex CEO of naval shipbuilding company, ASC Pty Ltd. He is the Chair of Automotive Transformation Board and Northern Economic and Social Implementation Board for Department of State Development, Government of South Australia.
Milly Vorrasi is a Senior Consultant at Hays Recruiting Experts and is widely known for her insight and honesty. She joined Hays Plc in the United Kingdom in 2000 and returned to Adelaide in 2003 where she employed a broad range of attraction strategies and has designed bespoke recruitment solutions for specialist positions.
Tanja Stefanovic is an engineer and Principal of Beyond Paradigms. She has decades of experience spanning engineering, business development and management roles working in a range of industries including small and large enterprises, privately owned businesses and government organisations. Using heepth knowledge of organisational behaviour, she works with teams and individuals to develop their emotional intelligence.
The event will be interactive with a panel based Q&A session following the speakers’ introductory presentations.
