Online Education Services (OES) has signed a 10-year partnership agreement with Engineering Education Australia (EEA), the training and development arm of Engineers Australia, to build a bespoke platform and professional development online courses for engineers, professionals, and engineering organisations.
The platform will launch with an initial 15 engineering courses, with course numbers set to grow throughout the partnership.
OES, an education enabler with demonstrated success in providing end-to-end solutions for online learning, will apply its best-practice learning design to transform material provided by EEA’s subject matter experts.
Denice Pitt, CEO of OES, said the partnership aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its provision of leading education services outside of the university sector.
“OES is delighted to be entering into a long-term partnership with Australia’s peak body for the engineering profession,” Ms. Pitt said.
“The partnership meets the shared aim of both organisations in regard to supporting life-long learning and providing highly flexible and relevant online learning experiences.”
The partnership is an extension of EEA’s current extensive offering of more than 80 technical, business management and graduate courses created specifically for engineers and related professionals.
Dr. Bronwyn Evans, EEA’s Managing Director and Engineers Australia CEO said the partnership reflects Engineers Australia’s commitment to supporting skills development and developing workforce capability in a dynamic and changing environment.
“The partnership with OES will allow EEA to deliver relevant quality training to engineers regardless of schedule and location. It will also allow EEA the ability to bring new content swiftly to the market, drawing on the knowledge of the profession, to support engineers in their roles today and prepare them for the future in a rapidly changing environment,” Dr. Evans said.
Learning outcomes of the courses will be aligned to Engineers Australia’s Chartered competencies – the international benchmark of engineering practice – and facilitated by leading industry experts. The courses will be available to Engineers Australia’s 100,000 members and interested non-members.
