How it works
If you have recently completed an accredited or recognised Australian engineering qualification you are eligible for free graduate membership until the end of this financial year.
How to activate
If you’re a student member, you’re ready to log into your account and apply for graduate membership. If not, head to our member portal to create an account. You’ll need ID – such as a passport photo page, current driver licence or copy of your birth certificate – plus your degree certificate (testamur), letter of completion, or a previous assessment letter from us.
Step by step
- Log into the member portal with your Engineers Australia ID
- Select Apply for Membership and choose your membership level (Graduate)
- Upload your documentation. If you wish to join before your graduation ceremony you can supply a copy of your completion letter from your university
- Lodge your application
- It takes about three business days to process. You'll receive an email when it's completed and further information about your new membership
Your post-nominals
Graduate membership gives you the opportunity to start your career with prestigious post-nominals beside your name. Depending on your occupational category, you gain one of the following:
- Associate Graduate (GradAIEAust)
- Technologist Graduate (GradTIEAust)
- Graduate (GradIEAust)
We offer membership on a financial year basis from 1 July to 30 June.
Pricing is determined by membership grade and whether a competency assessment is required. New applications may include a $100 application fee
Recent graduates are supported with free graduate membership until the end of the financial year. Come the end of financial year, you'll be invited to renew your graduate membership.
