As professionals working in construction management, contract administration and project controls, we operate in a language minefield. We are surrounded by highly technical language, legal and contractual terms, complex data analysis, acronyms, numbers and visuals.
In contrast, best practice is to deliver succinct, easily understandable information to clients and stakeholders to help them make informed decisions.
James Millen will draw on over twenty years’ experience of administering construction contracts to offer insight, techniques and tips for effective communication. The session will look at the core ingredients for effective written and oral communicating, and the movement towards an International Standard for ‘plain language’ in professional communication.
