LNG plants require a large amount of gas and electricity to operate and the electric share is likely to increase in the future leading to larger and more complex electrical systems.
This presentation looks at typical plant design including the overall liquefaction process and where power is used.  It also considers the type of equipment involved, typical electrical distribution systems and possible developments in the future.

About the speaker:

Neil Midolo is an electrical engineer with over 40 years’ experience. He has been involved in a number of major LNG projects from FEED to construction. He was, until recently, the onsite Electrical Technical Authority for a major LNG construction project.
