As newer technology leads to improvements in efficiency and less expense for consumers, solar becomes a more viable source of energy to fossil fuels.
This course provides participants with a sound understanding of the system components for a grid connected photovoltaic system. Understanding how to combine these components and how to ensure that the installation of the system equipment meets Australian standards. In addition, the course covers system output optimisation, how to assess a potential installation site, solar radiation and system economics.
Upon completion of the course participants can apply for the Design of Grid-Connect PV Systems Accreditation from the Clean Energy Council.
Who should attend?
This course is for you if you are the member of an engineering team involved in the design of grid-connected photovoltaic systems.
It will be particularly useful for electrical engineers, electronics engineers or any other engineers who have completed electrical basics studies.
Full course outline
The course is delivered online and takes approximately 60 hours to complete. Participants can complete the course at their own pace.
