Mark Dimmock | Southern Regional Director, Australia Hub | Laing O'Rourke
Mark Dimmock is the Southern Region Director for the Australian Hub of Laing O’Rourke
Mark worked across Africa, Asia the UK and United States in his 25 years at Parsons Brinkerhoff prior to joining the Laing O’Rourke executive team.
Mark is a Civil Engineer that graduated from the University of Newcastle and he holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is originally from Orange before leading engineering operations in the Hunter, he worked on securing projects such as the Cronulla Rail Duplication, Sydney Water alliances, and EPCM work with NSW coal operators.
James Phillis | Chief Executive Officer | SMEC, ANZ
James Phillis is the Chief Executive Officer of SMEC ANZ. James first joined the company as the Regional Director - NSW/ACT and went on to become the Chief Operating Officer ANZ before taking on the position of Chief Executive Officer in 2018. He has 30 years of experience in engineering design and project management and over 20 years’ experience in Senior Director and
Executive roles. James has recently undertaken leadership and governance roles on several large, significant infrastructure projects including Sydney Metro NorthWest (both OTS and SVC contracts), NorthConnex M1-M2, WestConnex M4 East IC, Snowy Hydro 2.0 and the Waterview Tunnel Alliance.
Tara Le Friedman | General Manager Strategy & Performance | Commonwealth Bank
Tara Le Friedman is General Manager Strategy and Performance, Office of the Chief Technology Officer at Commonwealth Bank.
Prior to joining Commonwealth Bank, Tara worked for Advisian as a management consultant specialising in strategy development and organisation design. She has a chemical engineering background, spending her early career working for Caltex Australia. Tara also holds a BSc in Medical Microbiology and Immunology and an MBA (Exec) from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Jason Gordon | Acting Director Intelligent Transport Systems | Roads and Maritime Services
Jason Gordon is Acting Director Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) at Roads and Maritime Services.
Jason has a Degree in Civil Engineering with First Class Honours, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Commercial Law, and a Master’s Degree in Planning. He is a Qualified Mediator and a JP.
He has been working for nearly 30 years in local and state government and before his current role, he acted as Chief Engineer and Director of Engineering at RMS and Chief Engineer and Executive Director of the Assets Standards Authority at TfNSW, and has also been a CEO/GM in Local Government.
Aside from this Jason is a proud Barkindji man from Bourke, NSW and is an active member of Engineers Australia, being a Fellow and Engineering Executive.
Nina Kilpinen | Managing Director | Seed Engineering
Nina is Managing Director of Seed Engineering. She has specialised in the development of complex engineering infrastructure projects and business development, with over twenty years of professional experience. Nina holds: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Environmental), Master of Engineering Management, Master of Construction Law, Diploma of Engineering Practice. She is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers Australia (FIEAust), Chartered Professional Engineer, Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors.
