Overview

The Chartered credential is one of Engineers Australia’s key offerings and is also an important marker to industry and the community of independent, competent and ethical practice.

The enhanced application process is evidence based and will use experience and industry references to help applicants obtain Chartered status. 

With registration in the State of Victoria quickly becoming a reality, now is the time to familiarise yourself with the ins and outs of the Chartered process and how this ties in with registration.

Xavier Treguer is the Tertiary and Graduate Development Manager for Victoria at Engineers Australia. Xavier works hand in hand with universities in Victoria to develop initiatives that encourage student engineers and graduate engineers to engage with Engineers Australia, help connect them with like-minded people, develop their technical knowledge, and also assist them in building their professional network. Xavier also works closely with industry, supporting employers to attract, develop, and retain their graduate engineers.

Xavier seeks to contribute in building the bridge between academia and industry, helping student and graduate engineers transition to job-ready, professional engineers, and ultimately, chartered engineers.
