The Westport Taskforce was established in September 2017 to investigate Perth’s port and freight infrastructure and determine the best option to manage growing freight demands for the next 50 years and beyond. Using a multi-criteria analysis and triple bottom line approach, Westport has been able to balance new development with environmental outcomes, economic return and social values.
Having arrived at a shortlist of options, hear about the port design, financial modelling, environmental considerations and supply chain assumptions used by the Taskforce to determine WA’s future freight solution.
Nicole Lockwood is the Independent Chair of the Westport Taskforce, the cross-agency project team charged with planning the infrastructure to drive the freight future of Perth and surrounding regions for the next 50 years and beyond.
