Speaker: William PHIPPEN, OAM, BSc, BE, FIEAust - Deputy Chair Engineering Heritage Sydney

A graduate in civil engineering, Bill spent the latter part of his career as manager of the railway archives of the Australian Railway Historical Society. He has published several books, including The Hawkesbury River Railway Bridges, By Muscle of Man and Horse, Building the Railway Under Sydney 1916-1932,  from Eddy Avenue to Menin Gate, the restoiration of the World War I honour board to Sydney station in 2018, and the lives of the 1216 men named upon it, and The Timber Truss Railway Bridges of New South Wales.
