Southern Tasmanian Networking Breakfast December

EA Tasmania is excited to announce our networking breakfasts are back on. Join us on Wednesday the 2 December for a chance to engage with industry colleagues over some coffee and breakfast, while listening to short presentation one of Entura’s Specialist Renewable Energy Engineers, Seth Langford. The event will start at 7.00am to leave plenty of time for good food, conversation and learning, before heading to the office. EA, along with our Southern Group will be there on the day and we hope to see you there.

Listen to our speaker for the morning presenting on pumped hydro project sites in Tasmania.

As part of the Battery of the Nation initiative, Hydro Tasmania has identified three potential pumped hydro project sites in the Northwest and west coast regions of Tasmania – projects at Lake Rowallan, Lake Cethana and beside the existing Tribute Power Station.

Hydro Tasmania is working to deliver a pumped hydro project in a timeframe aligned with the full development of Marinus Link (1500 MW). Alongside the benefits provided by Hydro Tasmania’s existing generation portfolio, and further on island renewable generation, pumped hydro projects in Tasmania (and the deep energy storage they provide) will play a key role in supporting Australia’s transition to a clean energy future.

Speaker:

Seth is currently project managing hydropower feasibility studies as part of Hydro Tasmania’s Battery of the Nation initiative looking at repurposing the Tarraleah hydropower scheme and developing new pumped hydro projects
