Social Bridge Building Networking Event

This event will work through an Engineering Design Process whilst encouraging social networking between local engineers. A great way to improve your professional network whilst growing your problem solving and communication skills.

Project Brief:

You are part of a team of engineers who have been given the challenge to design a bridge out of popsicle sticks (up to 200) and glue. Bridges must be able to hold a specific weight (the weight goal will be confirmed at time of construction).

The bridge must span at least 30cm in length and it must be longer than 30cm when it has been constructed as it will be placed between two tables for a weight bearing test. In addition to meeting the structural and weight bearing requirements, the bridge will also be judged on its aesthetics, so be creative!

You are encouraged to use the fewest number of popsicle sticks possible to achieve your goal.

All materials will be provided on the night.
