Join the Cairns EA regional group on a site visit and information session at the TAFE Campus. The site visit will consist of an information session on the Advanced Manufacturing Hub (Cairns) and then move onto a site tour of the engineering facilities including the Makers Hub within TAFE that is promoting additive manufacturing techniques.

Andrew Hayes is the Director/Coordinator of the Cairns Manufacturing Hub.
Andrew has led and managed the delivery of the Cairns Manufacturing Hub program including its staff (Skills Development and Training Officer and Project Support Officer), budget, operations and administration.
The Cairns Manufacturing Hub delivers a range of programs covering business development, skills development and training, advanced manufacturing awareness, grant funding programs and linking local manufacturers to government agencies, industry, Universities, VET Training providers and schools and technology experts to support the development and capability of the local manufacturing ecosystem and supply chain.
The Cairns Manufacturing Hub is part of the network of Regional Queensland Manufacturing Hubs (Gladstone, Rockhampton, Townsville, and Cairns) which is a Queensland State Government $30m program over 3 years to help transition local manufacturers to Advanced Manufacturing via Industry 4.0 technologies and manufacturing business practices.
