Energy is something we need to exist, yet more and more it’s the source of the energy that’s becoming critical to our survival. Hydrogen, while not a novel concept, is being sung from the rooftops as a potential game-changer, but what game is it going to change and how?

Hydrogen & Chemical Technology Director at Aurecon, Thom Cameron, will explore at a high level what all the fuss is about, where hydrogen can play a part in our energy future, and perhaps areas where it can’t.

Thom Cameron (In-Person) 
Hydrogen & Chemical Technology Director | Aurecon

Educated in the UK as a mechanical engineer, Thom Cameron has spent the majority of his career in the oil, gas and petrochem sector, initially in the UK then here in Australia. Thom has worked through all stages of project development across, refining, gas processing and fertilizer/explosives as a consultant, technology provider and client.

Having spent 12 years with thyssenkrupp, a global process technology company, Thom has experience with many of the technologies and processes being proposed and discussed in the context of the ‘Energy Transition’ debate. Thom’s current role as Aurecon’s Hydrogen and Chemical Technology Director sees him actively contributing to developing the future fuels industry and advising clients on how best to reach their emission reduction targets.
