Join Engineer's Australia ITEE College (QLD Chapter) for a presentation of private LTE networks in the industrial and mining sectors.
 
Simon Lardner, co-founder and CTO of Challenge Networks will present his experience with building private LTE network(s) for clients in the mineral resources and industrial sector.
 
Expanding on this Simon will discuss what is an LTE Network, how LTE differentiates to WiFi and why Australian miners are adopting Private LTE Networks.  He will discuss LTE Frequency Band Spectrum and provide a brief overview of the regulatory environment. As well as the traps, pitfalls and lessons learnt from building Private LTE Networks

Chief Technology Officer of Challenge Networks

Simon is the co-founder and CTO of Challenge Networks, a telecommunications system integrator specialising in the design, build and management of small-scale carrier networks around the world. More recently Challenge has become a leader in the deployment of private LTE networks for the resources sector. Simon has close to three decades of international experience in the telecommunications industry specialising in mobile network design and implementation.

Simon has a degree in Computer Engineering from RMIT and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
