National Water Forecasting Services

Start time: 2:30pm AEST. Join us for an introduction to the Bureau of Meteorology's national 7-day and seasonal streamflow forecasting services.
National Water Forecasting Services

The Bureau of Meteorology developed national 7-day and seasonal streamflow forecasting services for Australia, as part of the implementation of Water Act 2007. The services cover most of the high-value water resources catchments and have more than 200 forecast locations each. The services are semi-automated and updated each day and on the first week of the month for 7-day and seasonal forecasting respectively. Forecast data are available in the websites and the user community can download it for further application and decision making.

Receive up-to-date knowledge of national water forecasting services – 7-day and seasonal; learn how the service could benefit the user community, and gain an insight on future developments and applications.
