New time-new sector plan

Join us for a light lunch at the next Fellows session to continue our exploration of the Growth State Plan. Hear more detail about the Hi-Tech Sector Plan 2030 which aims “to stimulate a new era in innovation and productivity and growth to see South Australia become a globally recognised destination for the Hi-Tech sector by 2030.”

From Industry 4.0 to Internet of Things, Cyber Security to Block Chain, Computer Vision to Machine Learning (and many more), the South Australian Government is exploring ways to utilise the latest technologies to underpin the State’s economic growth.

With an ambitious growth target of 6 percent per annum, the Plan has articulated four strategic priorities to grow the sector:

• Strengthening technical capability
• Connections and collaboration
• New jobs and career pathways
• Market access and development

Engage with Adam Reid, Chief Executive for the Department for Innovation and Skills as he takes us through the Government’s aims and discover ways in which engineers can connect with this exciting space in advancing our economy.
