The energy transition requires multiple clean energy solutions – and now, because we can’t wait. Clean hydrogen has the benefits of emitting no CO2 when consumed and is versatile, with its ability for the energy to be stored and transported. “Blue” hydrogen (fossil fuel with CCS) is one production pathway and has price and availability benefits. Regardless of production type, we also need to build the supply and distribution infrastructure, including pipelines, liquefaction and shipping.

This presentation will overview the pilot operations of a complete hydrogen supply chain, with a focus on the hydrogen production through coal and coal/biomass gasification and carbon capture and storage in Gippsland.
