About the speakers
As WSP’s Director of Structures for the NSW region, Ross brings a practical approach to leading and inspiring teams for the delivery of holistic disciplines on complex building projects. He is proud to inspire people to collaborate, give their best and challenge themselves to grow in a safe space.
Ross is a technically strong, creative thinker, who is advocating innovation through all aspects of the business, including in his role as the WSP’s digital lead for Civil and Structural Engineering in Australia.
Passionately involved in technology and its application to the profession, he champions a holistic approach on all his projects. Ross has developed engineering solutions for several complex buildings and his work includes project with major private and public-sector clients, including ICD, Oxford University, Land Securities, Brookfield Multiplex and Lipton Rogers.
Senior Industry Strategy Manager, Design Engineering, Bentley Systems
Dave Body is a Senior Industry Strategy Manager, Design Engineering, with Bentley Systems and has been in this role since the beginning of 2018. The role is focused within the ANZ region with a particular focus on Road and Rail opportunities and entails a wide range of tasks, including Business Development responsibilities through to Constructioneering related responsibilities. From 2012 to 2018 Dave served as a Solutions Executive for the Road and Bridges sector and within the Mining sector. From 2009 to 2012 Dave served as a Solutions Engineer/Architect with Bentley Software within the Road, Rail and Mining sectors.
Dave joined Bentley in October 2001 when Bentley Systems acquired GEOPAK Corporation, where he served in numerous roles including Application Engineer and Business Development Manager. Before joining GEOPAK Corporation in 1995, Dave held the role as senior civil designer/surveyor within a Western Australian municipality. Throughout 1985-1989 Dave held a number of civil and survey related roles within a number of privately held civil and surveying consultancies. Dave holds a Diploma in Engineering Surveying and a Certificate in Civil Engineering.
