Thought Leaders Series: Genuine OEM parts and reliability

About the event

From a car to a computer to a compressor - sourcing non-genuine spare parts and consumables will always be cheaper than buying genuine OEM’s parts. With cost pressures rising, this may well present an attractive way to reduce costs. But what are the potential implications of this decision? In short, the lifetime of the compressor, its overall performance and reliability as well as its maintenance requirements will all be impacted.

In this webinar Peter Eckberg, Managing Director (KAESER Compressors Australia) and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, will draw on case study examples to explain the detrimental effects he has witnessed over the years to compressed air systems, where non-genuine spare parts and unauthorised Service Technicians have been used, as well as highlighting the benefits that can be realised by choosing genuine spare parts.

James Tomlin, Technical Director – Oceania & SEA (DeLaval Pty) also joins the webinar to discuss why equipment reliability is an essential requirement for each component which makes up the integrated solutions that DeLaval deliver to dairy producers. Very often operating in remote locations - delivering reliable and dependable equipment requires a holistic approach that goes beyond the initial capital equipment choice.

Key Themes:

  • Compressed air
  • Equipment reliability
  • Equipment performance
  • Genuine OEM parts
