Area Manager, AECOM Australia

Amanda Kerr is Area Manager for AECOM’s Hunter region and leads over 100 engineers and scientists, all focussed on delivering excellent project outcomes and outstanding client service. Her expertise lies in project management, surface water management, drainage design, environmental impact assessment, and management. She is a true leader in industry engagement, building strong relationships with key leaders and industry and is committed to supporting social enterprises and championing equity and inclusion. Amanda's leadership has resulted in an empowered team who prioritises building strong relationships, promotes sustainability, and delivers projects with innovation, creativity, and sustainable legacies.

Amanda was named a Professional Engineer of the Year Award Finalist for Engineers Australia's Excellence Awards in 2024.

Associate, Aurecon

Cameron is an Associate at Aurecon, a Chartered Engineer in Project Management and Civil Engineering. With five years of experience, he has successfully led complex programs of multi-disciplinary projects in NSW/ACT. Cameron excels in managing engineering and construction programs, emphasizing design, quality, governance, procurement, and delivery. He stands out by nurturing his team and fostering their personal and professional growth. Cameron has delivered approximately $250m of infrastructure in a construction management capacity and $15m of design works. His client-focused and commercially-oriented approach sets him apart.

Cameron was named an Emerging Professional Engineer of the Year Finalist for Engineers Australia's Excellence Awards in 2024.

General Manager Newcastle, Engineers Australia

As General Manager of the Newcastle Division, Helen oversees a vast area from the Hawkesbury River to the Queensland border and west to Coonabarabran, serving over 4,700 members. She leads a diverse team of volunteers, office bearers, committees, and staff to meet member expectations, foster membership growth, and promote STEM programs that inspire young people to pursue careers in engineering. The Newcastle division offers a range of services including awards, technical presentations, CPD sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, all aimed at advancing the science and practice of engineering for the benefit of the community.
