Most Ambitious Company in Gender Diversity 2020 Award winner
Water Modelling Solutions Pty Ltd
Water Modelling Solutions is so pleased to have won the Most Ambitious Company in Gender Diversity Award 2020. We are aware that we have had strong competition for this award. The companies that also applied for this category, no doubt have very strong Diversity and Inclusion policies, procedures and programs in place. However, we feel that it is not these qualities that made WMS a strong contender; it is our leadership and their ability to engender a culture of diversity through innovative recruitment that considers not only merit but the qualities a person brings to the company. It is through our Leader’s ability to “walk the talk” and through their promotion of every staff member as a diversity leader.
We are a young yet growing company and winning this award lends credibility to an approach that may not be traditional amongst Engineering firms but is nevertheless proving to be successful.

Women in Engineering and IT at University of Technology Sydney
Over the last 3 years, our Women in Engineering and IT team have focused on impact-led initiatives with embedded evaluation, informed by research and emerging best practices. This award means a lot to us because it recognises the work and achievements of not only our team but also our community.
Without our community of staff, students and industry partners and volunteers, we would not have been able to achieve so much and reach from primary school students, teachers and families, across to high school, into university studies, and preparing for engineering careers through a mentoring program with industry professionals.
Thank you for this recognition and inspiration to keep creating positive impact and change!
