Engineering experts wanted for WA STEM program

Career Conversations – talking to young people about pathways and opportunities, will run throughout metropolitan and regional WA from 9 March to 4 August this year.

The aim of the series is to provide career information that enables students and caregivers to understand workforce opportunities and challenges. They will learn the skills, attributes, and capability requirements for different careers as well as job options, benefits and pathways.

Engineering firms and leaders in the profession are encouraged to apply to sit on the business and industry panels at each event. Each panel will run for 20 minutes and will be an opportunity to pass on knowledge about requirements for entering the engineering workforce in the future.

The program is looking for expressions of interest from varied business representatives to provide regionally focused, accurate and up-to-date future workforce information.

Presentations can be done in person at one of these scheduled events for caregivers (PDF) or could be pre-recorded to use within scheduled webinars. There are also events for high school students. The schedule can be made available when you email us.

If you are interested, please contact [email protected] and we will send you a form to complete. We will pass your response onto the WA Department of Education to be assessed.

You can find out more on the Department of Education website.
