How NASA technologies are helping to solve earth’s climate challenges

In recognition of World Engineering Day (WED) Engineers Australia is presenting a free webinar on 3 March 2023 exploring the innovative NASA technologies that are helping to solve climate challenges on earth.

NASA’s Technology Transfer program ensures that innovations developed for exploration and discovery in space are available to the public.

During this webinar NASA Technology Transfer Program Executive Daniel Lockney will review NASA spinoff technologies and advancements that have applications and implications for life on earth.

In the context of climate change, technologies include curbing greenhouse gas emissions, advancing renewable energy technologies, utilising Google Earth to analyse surface trends, for example glacier retreat and deforestation, and to better understand the impact of climate change on the earth.

The session runs from 9–10 am AEDT and is open to all members and non-members of Engineers Australia.
