Engineers Australia SA members recognised in 40 under 40 list

Two Engineers Australia members and esteemed engineers, Emilio De Stefano and Jane Brunton, have been celebrated among South Australia’s brightest young leaders and entrepreneurs for 2021.

Released annually in June, In Daily’s 40 under 40 list seeks to compile a list of South Australia’s best young talent across all industries. 

This year’s list included two Engineers Australia members with impressive achievements in the defence and mineral sectors, with the pair also recognised in the ForceForty program for young engineers developing strategies to grow South Australia.  

Emilio De Stefano, a Chartered engineer gained a place on the list. De Stefano is Director and Principal of De Stefano & Co, a multi-million-dollar engineering firm established in 2015. The firm helps businesses to grow revenue in the defence sector, in Adelaide, interstate and internationally. 

De Stefano has previously worked for multinational companies gaining significant experience as a business executive.  

Jane Brunton, Commercial Manager at OZ Minerals, also gained a place in the Top 40 list. The appointment recognises her achievements at OZ Minerals working on the company’s growth pipeline. 

At OZ Minerals, Brunton has been involved in projects such as the Carrapateena Expansion Study, the West Musgrave Project, the Prominent Hill Expansion Study. Brunton has also been involved in business merger and acquisition processes. 

The pair will go on to be a part of the 40 under 40 alumnni in South Australia who meet across the year to advocate for and influence young people in the state.
